How Beautiful the Sunrise . . .
How beautiful the sunrise, great streaks across the sky,
Rays of sparkling colors, flash before my eyes.
How beautiful the sunrise, so early every morn,
The sky adorned with colors, increasing evermore
How beautiful the sunrise, the purple, green and blue,
Shows me of God's great royalty, but only just a clue.
How beautiful the sunrise, the yellow, orange, red,
Reveals to me great glory, Jesus risen from the dead
How beautiful the sunrise, each color in-between,
Of which I've failed to mention, and failed to conceive.
How beautiful the sunrise, and the artist who has made,
Each vast strip of color and each extending ray
How beautiful the sunrise, the rays across the sky,
A hand reaching down to me, extended from on high.
How beautiful the sunrise, the stretch of great domain,
A wondrous sight, each different, and yet they're each the same
How beautiful the sunrise, unique as each can be,
Displayed with pomp and splendor, out of love for you, for me.
How beautiful the sunrise, no match, there ever will,
And my dear redeemer is greater even still
