So I Pray . . .
A heavy heart cries out to you, a broken heart needs healing
The world she lives is failing, her only foundation crumbles
It brakes my heart to see her pain, to know what she's going through
But there's nothing I can do, she needs to look to you
Searching for the answers, she asks that question why?
You don't seem to hear her so on and on she cries
And in the stillness of the night her heart calls out to you
Draw closer now than ever, until she's full of you
Holy Spirit hear her prayer, descend to her this day
Shine your light upon her life, don't ever go away
She needs all that you have to offer, more than these words I say
Won't you use me in this hour, help me show the way
I search for those healing words, I've got to find a way
To share your love and healing to her heart this day
But the words I need now fail me though I search deep in my heart
I can only speak through silence when words are not enough
So I bow my head and bend my knee that's all that I can do
And earnestly I ask of you to somehow pull her through
When everything around her fails when the future's very dark
There's nothing else that I can do and so I stop and pray.
