Free Days of Creation Lesson Plan – This unit study takes young students through the Bible from Adam to Abraham with some references to Christ and the salvation story. Designed by a homeschool mom. Completely free for downloading.

Christian Character (by Gary Maldaner) – A great workbook with clear explanations for each of the Christian characters with Bible verses. Also includes assessment “quizzes” and goal setting applications to help students see how well they apply the different characters in their lives and how they can encourage growth of these characters in their life. It really challenges young people to live more intentionally in a way that is pleasing to God.

Rod and Staff Bible Courses – Great Bible curriculum for teaching Bible and Christian character at the same time. Rod and Staff has curriculum for grades 1 through 10. In the earliest grades (grades 1-4) their curriculum actually uses the Bible to teach kids how to read as well, so you can get two subjects in one (see the “Bible Nurture and Reader Series”).
