Davey and Goliath: The Pilgrim Boy
Davey is curious about the holiday of Thanksgiving, so his father reads him the story of the first Thanksgiving. The whole story is played out through Davey's imagination.
The story consists of the Pilgrims, who are at first cautious about the Indians. The Indians bring food to the Pilgrims and help them out by educating them on how to provide (the key word) for them to survive. The Pilgrims are so appreciative of their new friends that they celebrate by having a feast, a Thanksgiving feast.
Buttons & Rusty: The Turkey Caper
An old classic cartoon for Thanksgiving. The show is mostly just for fun, but it does have a section about the pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving.

Animated Hero Classics: William Bradford
William Bradford fled with the Pilgrims to the new world where he discovered that the price for religious freedom was hunger, sickness and death. As a peacemaker, he befriended the Native Americans who taught the struggling Pilgrims how to survive.
By the end of the first year, William Bradford became Governor of the new land. After their first critical harvest, he set aside time for the Pilgrims and their new Native American friends to feast together and express their thanks to God. Thus, William Bradford became the Father of Thanksgiving Day.

Mayflower: The Pilgrim’s Adventure
Originally titled The Voyage of the Mayflower, this old classic film is not even available on DVD yet. Set in the 1620’s, the story begins with the religious persecution of the Puritans in England and their decision to emigrate to Plymouth Colony in America. This is a fairly sturdy and enjoyable piece of historical drama, with the most important details about who, what, where, and why informatively answered.
Another forgotten classic you can’t find on DVD! Spencer Tracy and Gene Tierney star in this Hollywood realization of life aboard the Mayflower on her most historic journey. Tracy is at his gruffest and bitterest as the disagreeable, tempestuous Captain Jones, master of the famous vessel that carried the Pilgrims to the New World. The depiction of the hardships faced by the passengers and crew on the voyage are fairly accurate, despite any minor liberties taken with historical facts.
