Online Health Consultations

Kozzi – This site is perhaps the most affordable site for purchasing royalty stock images. They have a low monthly membership fee of $4.59 per month. With this membership you can download their quality images for $0.30 each AND you can use their images on your website or blog for FREE using their embedding feature.

FreeImages – All the images on this site are 100% free.

Free Bible Images – Pictures of Bible characters that look so real you would think there had been cameras in existence in Bible times!

Christian Photos – Free photos, presentations, and brochure templates for churches. Everything on this side is free. The vision of ChristianPhotos.net is simple: to help churches publish better material for spreading the Gospel.

Freely Photos –  Free Christian Photos. There aren’t a lot on this site, but the ones that are here are pretty good and they are completely free (with no restrictions) . . . . I would LOVE to see this site grow and more people contribute pictures to it. "Freely you have received, freely give!"

Lightstock – A huge selection of great quality Christian photos. The only downside is that they are rather expensive ($5 for the smallest size picture), but if you’re looking specifically for Christian photos and not finding what you want anywhere else, this site is likely to have what you need.

Free Digital Photos – All the pictures on this website are free in their smallest file size (with the condition that you publish and acknowledgement with the picture when you use it). If you do not want to publish an acknowledgement, or if you want a larger size of the picture then you have to pay for it.

Digital Stock Photos
For any digital projects you want to make (cards, calendars, bookmarks, digital scrapbooks, websites, etc), you will always run into the same demand for pictures.

There are many sources online where you can get pictures, either for free or for purchase. With any pictures you use you need to be informed about copyright restrictions and licensing. You don’t want to get into legal trouble for using someone’s picture in a way it was not intended to be used.

There Are Different Types of Photo Licenses

Anytime you download pictures from the internet to use in your projects you need to be aware of what the copyright restrictions are for the picture you are wanting to use.

Some pictures (called Public Domain Pictures) are 100% free with absolutely no restrictions. You can download them and use them as often as you want and however you want. Unfortunately public domain pictures can be hard to find and they are often low quality or vintage photos.

Some pictures are 100% free but they have certain restrictions as to how you can use them. In these cases you need to have a clear idea of what you are wanting to use the picture for and be careful to always check the license of the picture to make sure the artist is allowing you to use the picture in the way you intend.

Other pictures (called Royalty Free Images) are pictures where you pay for the right to use the picture. When you buy royalty free images you do not actually own the picture that you purchase, but rather you purchase the right to use the picture as many times as you want for multiple projects (with very few restrictions).

Most of the images you find online will be royalty free images. The advantage of purchasing royalty free images is that they are usually much better quality than the free pictures you can get. The cost for royalty free images is usually between $0.30 - $10.00. Typically you will pay less for royalty free images if you pay for them in bulk (purchasing the rights to hundreds or thousands of photos at one time and then selecting and downloading them over a period of months or years).

Where to Find Digital Pictures

There are many, many sites online where you can get digital stock photos. A few of these sites include:

Fotolia – This is one of my favorite sites for stock photos. Most of the pictures you see on this website come from Fotolia. The images are not free, but there is a wide selection of good quality images making, and a really good search engine on the site that makes it easy to find exactly what you are looking for.
