Praying for Your Husband: Ministry
Lord, I pray that you would give ___(name)___ divine appointments today, opportunities to minister to others, to share the gospel, and tell of the hope we have in Christ. May he have a sense of excitement and great anticipation in all that you are doing right now, that he would see your hand at work and see the good fruit of his labor. May he feel the joy of victories won and experience the thrill of being a part of your great work.
Father, I pray that you would not allow cares, worries, or frustrations to get in the way or hinder the excitement of this incredible calling. Grant him wisdom and discernment in making decisions concerning the details of ministry.
I pray that doors would be opened before him and hearts prepared in advance for the spreading of the gospel and the fulfillment of all that you have purposed to do through him.
May he find great satisfaction in all that he does, whether great or small. Every task that he does, no matter how insignificant it may seem at the time, help him to do it as unto you, as an expression of gratitude and an act of worship.
Give him opportunities to use the gifts and talents that you have given him and allow him to feel a sense of purpose and satisfaction in the work that he does. Be glorified in his life and ministry. Honor him with your calling. Delight in using him to accomplish great things, far beyond human comprehension. But accomplish these things in a way that would be clear to all that it is your hand at work in and through him, all for your glory!
Do not allow human reason or rationalizing, or mortal flesh, to interfere in your work. Help us not to limit your power in any way. We see only a small part of the work you are doing, but you are the master builder, you see the greater picture. You know all things and have the power to do the impossible. Have your way. Accomplish what you have purposed. And delight to use us for your glory.
Give us unity in this ministry. That we would both share in the work that you are doing. That we would both have the same calling, the same ministry, the same purpose, and the same end in mind.
Give us clear direction for the future. Help us to be of one heart and mind, to hear your voice clearly and to be unified in taking the next step in this journey you have laid before us.
Father, there is so much need in the world around us and so many “good things” that we could do, but help us to discern your will and to do what is ultimately best. Help us not to spend so much time doing the things that seem “urgent” but have only momentary value,
Help me to be supportive of the ministry work that ___(name)___ does. Help me to be understanding during the times when ministry obligations pulls him away from the home or takes up the time he would have otherwise spent with me. Help me to be content in all things. To bear all things. To look to you for fulfillment in all areas of my life. And to seek first your kingdom and righteousness. All to your glory!
