Praying for Your Husband: Health
Lord Jesus, as the Great Physician, I pray for your healing hand to be on ___(name)___. Make every part of his body function the way that you designed it to. Wherever there is anything out of balance, set it in perfect working order.
Heal him of any disease, illness, injury, infirmity, or weakness. Strengthen his body to successfully endure his workload, and grant him the rest that he needs to maintain good health. Bless him a strong heart and a strong body.
I pray that he would have the desire to take care of his body, always bearing to mind that his body is your temple. I pray that he will present it as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to you. Help him to eat the right kinds of food, to get regular exercise and fresh air, and to avoid anything that would be harmful to him. Increase his strength and endurance, that he would be equipped and fit for service.
When he is ill, I pray that you would sustain him and heal him. Completely and fully restore him to good health. Give him wisdom to know when medical care is needed, and which methods or treatments to use, keeping in mind that even though treatments may be the key to healing, ultimately his health and his life is in your hands. At times you choose to work through science and medicine while at times you work through miracles in answer to prayer. In whatever way you choose to bring healing, let us give you the glory!
Help him also to understand and accept the fact that your ways are not our ways and that there will be times in which you choose not to grant healing or to prolong the illness for an extended period of time. Father, you know that it can be frustrating and discouraging to not receive the answers we desire, but help us to keep on trusting you even when you do not seem to be responding to our cries for healing. Help us to keep faith in you, confident that you will work all things together for our good, as only you can!
Lord, I pray that ___(name)___ would live a healthy life, however long you have determined his days to be. And when death does come to him, may it be accompanied by peace and not by unbearable suffering and agony. Thank You, Lord, that You will be there to welcome him into Your presence and not a moment before Your appointed hour.
