Praying for Your Husband: Deliverance
Lord, you have said to call upon you in the day of trouble and you will deliver us. I call upon you now and ask that you would work deliverance in ___(name)___'s life. Deliver him from anything that binds him. Set him free. Deliver him quickly and be a rock of refuge and a fortress of defense to save him.
Lift him away from the hands of the enemy and bring him to a place of understanding where he can recognize the work of evil and cry out to you for help. Help him to recognize the presence of evil in order to pray against it and turn to you for deliverance. Keep him from trying to fight it in his own human efforts but rather to fight it on his knees, in your power and with the authority that comes in your name.
If the deliverance he prays for does not come immediate, keep him from discouragement and help him to be confident that you have begun a good work in him and will bring it to completion.
Grant him the faith to believe even in the most hopeless of situations. You, oh Lord, have the power to do the impossible, help him never to forget that. Help him to hold fast to your promises and to wait patiently for your perfect timing.
Father, I pray that you would provide a solution to any problems ___(name)___ may be facing right now. When things don't go the way he has planned and he doesn't know what to do, may he turn to you for the answers and seek your guidance in all things.
Keep him from discouragement or frustration. Remind him this day that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers and powers and forces of darkness. I pray that he would find his strength in you and put on the whole armor of God so that he can stand firm and be victorious in battle.
Help him to fasten the belt of truth around his waste. Help him to put on the breastplate of righteousness. And on his feet, let there be a readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Enable him to take up the shield of faith, with which he can quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. I pray that he will take up the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. At all times may he be steadfast in prayer, being watchful and standing firm to the very end.
Open his mouth to boldly proclaim the mystery of the gospel. And be with him at all times, guarding his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus.
Amen!
